Coins for Critters at Longue Sault Public School Raises More Than $1,000
Fundraiser Benefits OSPCA and Children’s Treatment Centre
March 2nd, 2017 (Long Sault, ON) – Longue Sault Public School (LSPS) raised more than $1,000 recently through its Coins for Critters fundraiser. The money was generated through a variety of student-run events on February 22nd including: face painting, nail painting, a cupcake café, a “Science Spot” featuring science activities, a cake raffle, an animal hospital, rainbow “bracelet” looming, and bowling. The school donated about $700 of the money to the local branch of the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) and $300 to the Children’s Treatment Centre.
Longue Sault Public School is part of the Upper Canada District School Board.
